On a Slippery Slope-Melody Fitzpatrick

On a Slippery Slope

Hannah brags to her crush about being an expert snowboarder (nope), and finds her white lie quickly catching up to her.

Hannah Smart needs money again. After a little white lie she told to a very cute boy (something about her mad skills in skiing and snowboarding) starts to snowball, Hannah, desperate to find a way out of the mess she’s made, decides she needs cash to do it. She takes a menial, part-time job at the local TV station where her dad works as the weatherman. One thing leads to another and Hannah unexpectedly finds herself in front of the camera again. Loving the spotlight, Hannah is swept up in the excitement of TV land, and when the subject comes up on air, Hannah actually starts to forget that her lie is just that: a made-up story full of bravery and excitement. Suddenly, her little fib becomes so huge that she has to tell the truth. But wanting to come clean and doing it are two very different things.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I thought this book was very well written. This would be a fun book for YA. Great job.
